Faced with serious damage in Dak Lak, where there are still nearly 100,000 households and customers unable to restore power, the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) has urgently mobilized more than 252 officers, engineers and workers from the shock teams of 4 Power Companies: Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang and Quang Ngai, along with the EVNCPC Forward Command Board, to increase support in handling incidents at the scene.
Along with mobilizing personnel, EVNCPC also transferred 40,000 electronic meters along with many supplies and equipment to replace and install in areas where water has just receded, ready to restore safe power supply for people.
The working teams are divided into many teams, closely coordinating with the Forward Command Board to inspect, clean the power grid, replace meters, handle equipment, and gradually restore power in areas with sufficient safety conditions. The force has increased its work throughout, focusing on prioritizing densely populated areas and flooded areas, in order to restore power to the people as soon as possible.
Mr. Ngo Tan Cu - General Director of EVNCPC said: "The floods and inundation in Dak Lak this time caused huge damage to people, property and livelihoods. The power grid was also affected significantly. With a spirit of urgency, hoping that people will soon recover from natural disasters, EVNCPC mobilized more than 250 people from Power Companies to participate in supporting the repair of the power system in Dak Lak. Wherever the water recedes, check safety and restore power, soon help people stabilize their lives".
Previously, on November 22, Dak Lak Power Company also mobilized more than 300 officers, engineers and workers from the western part of the province to support the heavily flooded areas in the eastern part.
This large-scale mobilization of forces and materials is expected to significantly shorten the time for power restoration in Dak Lak - the locality most heavily affected in this flood.
