On the afternoon of September 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong said: Implementing the direction of Comrade Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, from September 8 to September 15, Hai Phong City will implement a free shuttle program to serve people to visit the Exhibition "80 years of National Achievements" at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi) on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.
Organizing free transportation to take people to the exhibition is a policy implemented by the City People's Committee as soon as the Government decided to extend the opening time by 10 days, to facilitate people in the city to learn about the 50-year achievements of the country and Hai Phong City.
Departments, branches, and units: Culture, Sports and Tourism, Construction, Science and Technology, City Police, Hai Phong City Youth Union, and VNPT Hai Phong have coordinated with 20 transportation and travel businesses to arrange for people to pick up their vehicles at 2 locations: Vietnam-C around-the- cultural Palace, Vietnam-China Friendship Labor and Xu Dong Cultural Center, in the afternoon from 8:00 to 8:30 every day; in the afternoon from 15:00 to 15:30 every day from September 8 to September 15.
Communication work has been implemented promptly, effectively, and simultaneously on mass media (press agencies, Electronic Information portals, grassroots communication systems and social networks, digital platforms); thereby, many people in Hai Phong have known about the Program and registered to participate via the website a80.haiphong.gov.vn.
After 8 days of implementing the Program, a total of 230 trips (of which 130 were arranged for the East and 100 were arranged for the West) were arranged, welcoming 9,962 people from Hai Phong city (east 6,005 people, west 3,957 people) to visit the Exhibition. The Organizing Committee sent a total of 247 people to support vehicles, directly guiding people to visit the Exhibition, 405 people to support at 2 reception points in the East and West of the city.
The City People's Committee has directed functional agencies to arrange cadres, civil servants, tour guides, and presenters to welcome and guide people to visit the Exhibition carefully. All participants expressed their joy, excitement and thanked the city for its attention and efforts in organizing and creating favorable conditions for people to visit the Exhibition, thereby accessing and directly experiencing and witnessing the achievements of the country and Hai Phong City in the 80 years of independence - freedom - happiness.
After 2 weeks of opening, Hai Phong exhibition areas at the National Exhibition Center have welcomed 600,000 visitors, an attractive destination for people and tourists. In particular, in recent days, the city has welcomed many war invalids, sick soldiers, meritorious people, people with disabilities and foreign tourists to visit the Hai Phong City Exhibition Area.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong City, by carrying thousands of city residents, carrying pride, gratitude and community solidarity, Hai Phong has been highly appreciated by the public nationwide, creating a new mark, affirming the bravery and stature of a city that always puts its people at the center. This is not simply a welfare policy, but a declaration of deep concern, turning the policy of leadership into the happiness of the people. The exhibition has ended, but the journey that those trips opened up is just starting - that is the journey to strengthen the great national unity bloc, arouse pride and foster the will to rise strongly. Such practical and emotional actions are creating great endogenous strength, bringing Hai Phong into the future with a new spirit.
