The election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and the election of People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term will take place on March 15th. In order to ensure that the election takes place safely and in accordance with the law, An Giang Provincial Police have proactively implemented measures to maintain security and order, contributing to the success of this important election.
Before the election took place, the Party Committee - Board of Directors of An Giang Provincial Police - directed subordinate professional units and the Police of communes, wards, and special zones to urgently implement many measures in the peak period of attacking and suppressing crime to ensure security and order throughout the preparation process. At the same time, coordinate with functional agencies to develop and implement plans to protect the safety of polling areas, especially areas at high risk of security and order.

The Provincial Police has also directed its affiliated professional units to carry out inspection and review of polling stations, ensuring facilities and factors related to security, fire prevention and fighting, and traffic safety. Propaganda and dissemination sessions on election laws have been organized to raise citizens' awareness of the right to vote and the obligation to protect security and order on election days.
Network security assurance is also emphasized, in order to prevent misinformation, distortion, and disruption before and during election days. Propaganda and mobilization activities have been organized to strengthen people's trust in the fairness and transparency of the election.
Recorded in Rach Gia ward (the most populous ward in the country) with more than 250,000 people, of which nearly 19,000 voters participated in the election, arranged in 124 constituency groups. With a large number of voters and a large area, the work of ensuring security and order to serve the election here is particularly focused.

Implementing the direction of the Provincial Police Department's Board of Directors, Rach Gia Ward Police proactively advised the Party Committee and local authorities to develop and deploy plans to ensure security and order.
