During their service, the soldiers have well promoted the function of "task force", actively participating in mass mobilization, prevention and control, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and storms.
In particular, in the "Quang Trung Than Toc" Campaign, officers and soldiers of the 2nd Regiment braved difficulties and hardships, directly helping people affected by floods in Dak Lak province and Da Nang city repair and rebuild houses, leaving a beautiful and deeply impressive image of the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the hearts of Party committees, authorities and people in localities.
Attending and directing at the ceremony, Colonel Tran Huu Ich - Commander of the Da Nang City Military Command said that the City Military Command has 2 main mobile infantry regiments of the city. Therefore, in recent years, the training and combat readiness work of the Da Nang City Military Command has been very concerned, invested in, and focused on.
In which, Regiment 971 is a regiment stationed right in the center of the city. Therefore, combat readiness and mobility to handle situations in civil defense, in disaster prevention, as well as handling situations when protecting important and especially important targets of the city are emphasized.
