Nearly 636 billion VND of tax debt in Tuyen Quang needs to be recovered

Nguyễn Tùng |

Tuyen Quang province's goal by the end of 2026 is to reduce an additional 200 billion VND of the total tax debt that needs to be recovered.

On September 10, information from Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, aggregated data as of August 31, 2026, the total amount of tax debt managed by Tuyen Quang Provincial Tax Department is 635.9 billion VND, down 4.6% compared to July.

Since the establishment of the Steering Committee for urging the recovery of tax arrears (May 2026), total tax debt has decreased by nearly 140 billion VND, bringing the debt ratio compared to the budget revenue estimate from 11.3% to 9.2%.

Among these, the group of receivable debts has decreased sharply, reaching a rate of 17.25%, to 340.2 billion VND. Tuyen Quang province sets a target by the end of December 31, 2026 to bring the tax debt ratio down to below 7.5% and reduce about 200 billion VND of debt.

To achieve the above goal, Tuyen Quang province determines that it is necessary to accelerate the finalization progress, remove financial obstacles and recover mineral exploitation rights fees and land rent.

Strengthen inter-sectoral coordination between Taxation, Finance, Natural Resources & Environment, Police, Treasury... to remove obstacles, deduct budget funds paid to tax debtors or handle violations.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan - Standing Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee requested the members of the Steering Committee to focus on the principle that each debt must have a presiding agency, coordinating agency, handling measures, completion time and specific output results, and develop a detailed monitoring chart for each debt, difficulties to be removed, and at the same time not to let new debts arise.

According to the Standing Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, it is necessary to specifically identify each cause of outstanding debt of businesses, organizations or individuals to propose handling measures in accordance with regulations.

At the same time, fully apply coercive measures according to the provisions of law. For cases of large, prolonged, and complex debts, the Steering Committee coordinates with relevant departments and branches to review, prepare dossiers, and propose appropriate measures.
