On this occasion, the authorities focused on inspecting moon cakes that are widely sold to serve the Mid-Autumn Festival. In addition to checking the origin of the ingredients used to produce the cakes, they also carefully checked the quality of the products and food safety. Through inspection, they discovered products that did not meet food safety and hygiene requirements and their origin, so they were recalled and fined.
Mr. Nguyen Truong Thuy - Deputy Director of the Market Management Department of Quang Tri province said that compared to previous years, this year's Mid-Autumn Festival has seen more violations detected and handled in a more complicated manner. Therefore, the Market Management Department is coordinating with units to closely inspect and control.
