On August 12, Mr. Nguyen Tai Minh - Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Province Traffic Construction Investment and Rural Development Project Management Board informed that packages 3 and 4 of the Ho Chi Minh Road project (the section avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot) have been extended by the Ministry of Construction to December 31, 2025.
According to Mr. Minh, up to now, the site clearance work for the main route has reached 99.71%. However, there are still 113 m (equivalent to 0.35 ha) of the section passing through Cuor Dang commune that have not completed site clearance; the second ditch at Km13+203.5 is still stuck at about 120 m.
Regarding the construction progress, the completed volume has reached 84.8%.
The authorities have approved compensation and support plans for 33 households (total of 38 households). Of which, 28 households have received money and handed over construction sites.
"The investor strives to complete the handover of the construction site in August 2025. The project will be handed over and put into use before December 31, 2025," Mr. Minh added.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project, the section avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak province) has a total investment of more than VND1,800 billion from the central budget with a length of more than 39km.
The project is invested by the Dak Lak Province Traffic Construction Investment and Rural Development Project Management Board.
However, for more than a year, the project still has 1km (from Km0+000 to Km1+000) that has not been constructed due to land clearance.
This has led to existing roads being damaged with mud, potholes, buffalo holes... greatly affecting the travel and living needs of the people.
