On July 27, Mr. Dang Tho Dan - Head of the Traffic Project Management Department (under the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment and Rural Development Projects of Dak Lak Province) - said that the unit has coordinated with the People's Committee of Cuor Dang Commune and the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to each household to mobilize the handover of the site to serve the construction of the Ho Chi Minh Road section avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot City.
According to Mr. Dan, the section from Km0+000 to Km1+000 through Cuor Dang commune has had 24/27 households agree to hand over the land and demolish their houses. Some remaining households are currently waiting for compensation approval to relocate.
The investor and the construction unit have supported human resources to dismantle and clear the site. At the same time, the contractor for the first section of the route has supported households with 5 to 20 million VND/household to cover expenses after relocation.
"For households that have not yet relocated, we will continue to propagate and mobilize people to comply. Thereby, the contractor can complete the project in 2025," Mr. Dan added.
At the scene, Mr. Tran Xuan Dinh (residing in Cuor Dang commune) agreed to demolish the solid 2-storey house to hand over the site to the investor.
"My family is very regretful to have to demolish the house that has been attached to it for many years, but for the common good, we have to do it. Hopefully the investor and contractor will soon complete the project so that people can travel conveniently," Mr. Dinh shared.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project, the section avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak province) has a total investment of more than VND1,800 billion from the central budget with a length of more than 39km.
The project is invested by the Dak Lak Province Traffic Construction Investment and Rural Development Project Management Board.

However, for more than a year, there is still 1km (from Km0+000 to Km1+000) in the above project that has not been implemented due to land clearance.
This has led to existing roads being damaged with mud, potholes, buffalo holes... greatly affecting the travel and living needs of the people.
