The Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway has a total length of about 125km, of which the section passing through the old Binh Dinh province is about 40km long and the section passing through the old Gia Lai province is about 85km long. The total investment of the project is more than 43,700 billion VND.
The project passes through 17 communes and wards of the new Gia Lai province, including An Nhon ward, An Nhon Bac ward, Binh Hiep commune, Binh An commune, Binh Phu commune, Binh Khe commune, Cuu An commune, Ya Hoi commune, An Binh ward, Dak Po commune, Hra commune, Lo Pang commune, Mang Yang commune, KDang commune, Dak Doa commune, Ia Bang commune, Hoi Phu ward.
The project uses more than 942 hectares of land, including more than 189 hectares of rice fields, 257 hectares of forestry land and about 494 hectares of other land. The area of forest converted for use alone is more than 257 hectares.
The cost of compensation, support, and resettlement is about 4,715 billion VND. The People's Committee of Gia Lai province committed to allocating 1,250 billion VND from the local budget and other legal sources.
According to the pre-feasibility study report, the entire project needs 20.52 million m3 of fill, 3.72 million m3 of sand and 3.32 million m3 of stone. Through the survey, the material mines basically meet the required reserves and quality for construction.
Regarding progress, Gia Lai province plans to carry out site clearance work from the third quarter of 2025 and complete the entire project, putting it into operation in 2029.
The project will be divided into 3 component projects, including: Section Km0+00-Km22+00 with a length of 22km, investment level of about VND 6,989 billion; section Km22+00'Km90+00 with a length of 68km, investment level of VND 27,576 billion; section Km90+00-Km125+00 with a length of 35km, investment level of about VND 9,169 billion.
Currently, Gia Lai province is directing the preparation work to keep up with the progress, in which it is excited to start the first component project in October 2025; start the second component project in December 2025; start the third component project in November 2025.
