Gia Lai proposes airlines to increase flights to serve National Tourism Year 2026

    Gia Lai proposed that the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and airlines increase flights to Pleiku and Phu Cat to serve the National Tourism Year 2026.

    On March 11, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and airlines to increase flights to Phu Cat Airport and Pleiku Airport, to serve the Opening Week of the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026.

    According to Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, the Opening Week of the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026 will take place from March 23 to March 30. 3. Tourism year activities are organized throughout from March to the end of 2026 with many national and international-scale events such as VnExpress Marathon, International Youth Football Festival, "Gia Lai - A Wonderful Destination" Summer Tourism Festival, Vietnam International Traditional Martial Arts Festival, Golden Kite Film Festival and many other cultural and sports activities.

    The opening ceremony was held on March 28 in Quy Nhon ward, with about 50,000 attendees.

    To meet the travel needs of tourists and create favorable conditions for tourism development, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee proposed Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines), Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (VietJet Air), Vietnam Aviation Joint Stock Company (Vietravel Airlines) and Bamboo Airways Joint Stock Company to increase flights to and from 2 airports of the province, especially during events.

    Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and Vietnam Airports Corporation to pay attention to, create favorable conditions, and support airlines when organizing increased flights, in order to better serve the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026.
