On May 14, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee directed departments, agencies, branches, and localities to strengthen state management of the press; rectify the situation of taking advantage of the press's name to harass and operate illegally.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, recently, there has been a situation in the area where some individuals claim to be collaborators of general electronic information pages, impersonating reporters of press agencies to contact agencies, businesses, and localities to request information on shortcomings and deficiencies.
After that, the subjects put pressure and threatened to post information to force the signing of "media contracts", advertising for profit.

Resolutely not to implement communication and advertising contracts for cases showing signs of taking advantage of the press's name for harassment and profiteering.
