At the same time, it is required that neighboring communes coordinate in implementing this work, in order to limit pollution and the risk of disease spread.
According to the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the situation of dead pigs at an extent that is not an African swine fever. The agricultural sector has supplied chemicals to localities for widespread disinfection. At the same time, samples were taken to test and screen for viruses in the pigs.

On the same day, informing Lao Dong, Mr. Le Ha An - Chairman of Binh Hiep Commune People's Committee - said that today, the locality has drastically implemented the work of handling pollution in Van Phong canal and streams, with the participation of functional units and organizations.
On the same afternoon, the authorities will visit households and livestock farms to propagate and coordinate with the provincial Livestock Department to check the epidemic situation in the pigs.

Regarding this situation, Ms. Ly Tiet Hanh - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Gia Lai province - said that voters in An Lao commune and Bong Son ward also reported the situation of littering the dead pigs, throwing them into the rivers.
Voters are concerned that this situation causes environmental pollution, which poses a potential risk of spreading the epidemic, and at the same time request that authorities soon take preventive measures to prevent the continued dumping of dead pigs into the river, causing environmental pollution.

According to Ms. Hanh, the content of the voters' reflection has been notified to the local authorities and the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and at the same time, it is recommended to check and soon have a direction for handling.
"Through the feedback of voters, I have requested the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment to urgently inspect and strengthen measures to immediately handle this situation. The first is to protect livestock herds, because that is the livelihood of the people. In addition, timely preventive measures are needed to prevent the spread in the community, while increasing the use of chemicals to treat dead animals," said Ms. Hanh.
Ms. Hanh also suggested that localities strengthen inspection work, and at the same time take measures to guide and support people in detecting, zoning and promptly handling dead pigs.
Mr. Truong Nam Phong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bong Son Ward - said that since the beginning of July, the locality has also recorded a large number of dead pigs drifting from the upper reaches of Lai Giang River. The government has mobilized forces to attack and handle the situation, and has basically overcome the problem.
As Lao Dong has reported, since the end of June, the Van Phong irrigation canal system flowing through Binh An, Binh Hiep, Hoa Hoi communes... (Gia Lai province) is facing serious pollution due to dead pigs being thrown haphazardly into the canal bed, giving off a foul smell, especially at the garbage nets and canal discharge gates.
Many dead pigs are in the process of decomposing strongly, bulging, giving off a strong stench and getting stuck at the discharge gates, most concentrated in the section flowing through Binh Hiep and Binh An communes.
