On November 27, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province decided to provide 1,000 tons of rice from national reserves to provide emergency support to people in some communes and wards that were severely damaged by the recent historic floods.
The allocation will be implemented from November 23 to December 20 at the centers of communes and wards, allocated, ensured in a timely and compulsory manner.
According to the People's Committee of Gia Lai province, the total demand for supported rice of 20 communes and wards is more than 1,328 tons. However, this support is implemented according to the decision of the Ministry of Finance with a total volume of 1,000 tons.

The rice is distributed to 5,551 households with 22,222 people in the communes and wards: Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon Dong, Quy Nhon Tay, Quy Nhon Nam, Quy Nhon Bac, Tuy Phuoc Dong, Tuy Phuoc Tay, Tuy Phuoc Bac, Binh Dinh, An Nhon Bac, An Nhon Nam, Phu Cat, Ngo May, Cat Tien, Van Canh, Canh Vinh, Ia Sao, Ia Dreh and Phu Tuc.
The provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the State Reserve Department of Region XI and localities to receive and distribute rice promptly to each household in accordance with regulations.
The State Reserve Department of Region XI is responsible for transporting and handing over rice at the centers of communes and wards, ensuring sufficient quantity and quality.
The People's Committees of communes and wards allocated rice are responsible for organizing the reception and direct distribution of rice to people affected by floods, implementing it publicly and transparently, ensuring rice reaches the right beneficiaries.
Previously, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province also decided to allocate 2,000 tons of rice from national reserves to promptly support people in 36 communes and wards in the area.
