On March 16, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that it had directed agencies, units, and localities to strengthen savings in gasoline and oil consumption.
According to Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, in the past time, world and domestic gasoline and oil prices have fluctuated and continuously increased. In that context, saving in gasoline and oil consumption is of great significance, contributing to improving the efficiency of using the state budget and serving the socio-economic development goals of the province.
Therefore, the Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested agencies, units, and localities to implement maximum fuel cost savings in the process of using public vehicles.
At the same time, arrange and optimize the working route; develop a reasonable work plan; combine many contents in one working trip when possible; strengthen online meetings to reduce travel demand; implement management and strict control of gasoline and oil usage norms by day and month at agencies and units.
Leaders of departments, branches, and localities when participating in the province's working delegation must comply with the assignment and use of common vehicles arranged by the Office of the Provincial People's Committee to minimize the use of private vehicles, save budget and strengthen the management of public assets according to current regulations.
Minimize the use of private cars for leadership positions; organize reasonable and economical use of public cars in grassroots business trips, attending conferences, anniversaries, receiving guests and activities serving common tasks.
In addition, agencies and units must strengthen inspection of the management and use of public vehicles and gasoline consumption; promptly rectify and overcome existing problems; strictly handle cases of using gasoline and oil not in accordance with regulations or causing waste.
Promote propaganda and mobilization of officials, civil servants, and public employees to raise awareness of thrift in using gasoline and oil, gradually forming thrift habits in consumption, and linking thrift practice with emulation movements at agencies and units.
Heads of departments, agencies, branches and localities are responsible for directing the strict implementation of regulations on the management and use of public cars; practicing thrift and combating waste in gasoline and oil consumption and being responsible to the Provincial People's Committee for the management and use of gasoline and oil costs of their agencies and units.
