According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, at this time, most bus companies in the provinces of Hoa Binh, Dien Bien, Son La... have kept ticket prices stable so that people, workers, and students can return home for the holidays.
Speaking with reporters, Mr. Trinh Quang Hung - Director of Song Da Transport Cooperative (Hanoi - Luong Son - Hoa Binh route) said that during the 5-day April - May holiday, road transport by fixed route and passenger bus is expected to welcome a large number of visitors compared to the time of year.
However, during the holidays, people who want to go out, visit relatives or travel often choose to travel by personal vehicle, contract car or through travel companies but rarely by bus.
"At present, the unit has no plans to increase trips or open more transport routes. However, if the number of passengers increases dramatically in the coming days, we will consider making appropriate adjustments. Whether it is a holiday or Tet holiday, the ticket prices of the cooperative are always kept stable, there is no price increase," Mr. Hung informed.

Similarly, Mr. Trung - representative of Binh An passenger bus (Hoa Binh - Hanoi route) said: "The bus company still has a backup plan to increase the number of vehicles on busy days. We will maintain the usual stable ticket price of 60,000 VND/ticket, so that passengers can feel secure about the holidays."
According to Trung, the difficulty does not lie in the number of passengers but in the fact that the car cannot rotate in time because of the prolonged congestion at the gateway of the capital. It is forecasted that after the vacation, the afternoon guests returning to Hanoi will also be "hot" equally, with a sudden increase in the needs of moving.
Mr. Giang - a driver of Hai Dinh bus company (Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa route), said that the unit has proactively developed a plan to increase vehicles during the holidays to best serve the people.
"We are committed to not letting passengers wait too long, while keeping the ticket price of 400,000 VND as usual," Mr. Giang shared.
According to Mr. Giang, this price has even decreased compared to the Lunar New Year thanks to cooling gasoline prices, helping businesses save some operating costs. Currently, during the three peak days of April 26, 27 and 28, the number of customers booking is not much, there are still many empty seats. However, if demand suddenly increases, the bus company is ready to add more trips to meet the demand in a timely manner.
Similarly, Mr. Van - Song Ma bus company (Mong Cai - Son La route) said that during the peak days near the holidays, the number of passengers increased dramatically, and the bus company also considered increasing the number of trips to meet the travel needs of the people.
"Currently, to give people the peace of mind when traveling and returning home for the holidays, the ticket price of our bus company has not changed, still at 550,000 VND/ticket," said Mr. Van.
