On the afternoon of August 17, four 16-year-old female students, including L.T.V.T, B.T.M.T, N.H.B.N and N.K.D, all living in Di Linh commune (Lam Dong province) went to play at Mo stream waterfall in Bao Loc pass area (in the area of Residential Group 3 Dai Lao, Ward 3 Bao Loc). All 4 female students are studying at a high school in Bao Loc Ward 1.
While the children were playing on the other side of the stream, there was prolonged heavy rain in Bao Loc ward, especially the Bao Loc pass area. Floodwaters from the upstream of Bao Loc Pass flowing into Mo Stream rose high and flowed rapidly, causing 4 female students to be stuck because they could not find a way to cross the stream.
Fortunately, some people working in the garden discovered it and quickly reported it to the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team of Area 3 (Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police).

Upon receiving the report, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team of Area 3 mobilized more than 10 officers and soldiers to be present at the scene to deploy rescue measures.
At 5:00 p.m. the same day, when the rescue team arrived, the floodwaters on Mo stream were gradually receding. Officers and soldiers of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team of Area 3 led a bamboo bridge across the stream about 300 meters from the location of the stranded female students to the scene. Here, officers and soldiers promptly reassured and encouraged the female students and brought them all across Mo stream to shore safely.

After being taken across the stream, the female students sent their sincere thanks to the officers and soldiers of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team of Area 3 for their timely response. With the guidance of the rescue team, the female students returned to their boarding house safely together.
