On July 18, Dak Mar Commune Police, Quang Ngai province said that the unit had just successfully rescued a child who encountered an accident in the area.
On the afternoon of July 17, Dak Mar Commune Police received a report about the accident of baby Y Cuc (born in 2016, residing in hamlet 7, Dak Mar commune).
During the process of going into the forest to pick bamboo shoots with friends, the child unfortunately slipped and got stuck in the cliff area along the stream in hamlet 5.
Immediately after receiving the information, Dak Mar Commune Police urgently mobilized officers and soldiers to coordinate with grassroots security forces, people and vehicles to quickly arrive at the scene to organize rescue.
Because the area where the incident occurred has dangerous terrain, steep, slippery cliffs, and fast-flowing stream water, access is difficult.

The forces used chainsaws, hand saws, crowbars and manpower to approach the baby, encourage the spirit, and at the same time deploy safety measures to bring the baby out of the dangerous area.
At about 5 pm on the same day, the baby was successfully rescued, his health was basically stable and handed over to his family for care.
Currently, it is entering the rainy season, the water level in rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes in the area has many complicated developments, posing a potential risk of drowning accidents, especially for children.
Dak Mar Commune Police recommends that people not let children arbitrarily swim in rivers, streams, ponds, lakes or play near water areas without adult supervision.
When going to the forest, picking bamboo shoots, or farming, people need to limit bringing young children along; if there is, they must always observe and manage closely.
People and children should not climb cliffs, areas along streams, and waterfalls with steep and slippery terrain to prevent unfortunate accidents.
