Gia Lai - Hoai Nhon Dong Ward Police mobilized many forces, used flycams to search, and promptly rescued an 82-year-old man who got lost in the forest.

On May 16, Hoai Nhon Dong Ward Police (Gia Lai) said they had successfully rescued Mr. Tran Khiem (born 1944, residing in Hoai Nhon Dong ward) after many hours of being lost in the mountainous forest area in the area.

Previously, at about 8:50 am on May 15, the Ward Police received a report from Ms. Tran Thi Chi (born in 1985, residing in Hoai Nhon Tay ward) about her biological father, Mr. Khiem, riding a bicycle out of the house from about 7 pm on May 14 but not returning.

The family organized searches in many places but without results, so they reported to the police for support.

Immediately after receiving the information, Hoai Nhon Dong Ward Police mobilized officers, soldiers, and forces to participate in protecting security and order at the grassroots level, along with people and families to organize searches.

By noon on May 15, functional forces received a report from people about the discovery of Mr. Khiem's bicycle in the acacia forest area near Cay Khe Lake, belonging to Xuan Vinh residential group (Hoai Nhon Dong ward).

The ward police immediately divided into many working groups, using flycams to observe the terrain, expanding the search area in the mountainous forest area around the location where the bicycle was discovered.

At about 3:50 pm on the same day, the search force discovered Mr. Khiem at an acacia field on a high mountain, more than 1km from the location of the bicycle. At the time of being found, the old man was exhausted from hunger and thirst.

Functional forces approached, carried Mr. Khiem across the forest to bring him out safely and handed him over to his family for care. After eating and resting, his health gradually stabilized.
