According to information from Hanoi City Police, at about 9:56 a.m. on August 7, the City Police Command Information Center received a report about a person climbing Ham Lon mountain in Thanh Ha village, Trung Gia commune, who fell and could not walk.
Upon receiving the news, the Command Information Center quickly mobilized officers and soldiers of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 22 - Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to the scene to organize rescue.
Despite the humid weather conditions and slippery roads down the mountain, the authorities quickly coordinated with Trung Gia Commune Police to approach the accident site, locate the victim and conduct first aid. After that, the authorities used a specialized stretcher to bring the victims to a safe location.
At around 10:30 a.m. the same day, the victim was handed over to the medical team to be taken to Soc Son General Hospital for emergency care.
The victim was Mr. L.H.G. (born in 1993, from Phu Ly, Ha Nam - now in Ninh Binh province), working as a freelance filmmaker.
Thanks to timely rescue and proper first aid, Mr. G's health has stabilized, without any danger to his life.
Hanoi City Police recommends that people should put safety first when participating in mountain climbing activities: Do not go alone; always have someone accompanying or notifying relatives of the schedule; fully equipped with positioning devices, flashlights, food and drinking water; update weather forecasts and have backup plans; prioritize traveling in groups with experienced tour guides.
