On June 6, in Can Dang commune (An Giang), the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police coordinated with the An Chau Social Policy Bank Transaction Office (under the An Giang branch of the Social Policy Bank) and the Can Dang Commune Police to disburse funds to 1 eligible customer to borrow capital. This is a case supported under Decision No. 08 of the Government on credit for people after drug detoxification and to support people after drug detoxification to reintegrate into the community and stabilize their lives.
Accordingly, the case eligible for loan support is Mr. L.V. L, born in 2001 (returning to the locality after drug rehabilitation), residing in Can Dang commune, An Giang province, who was allowed to borrow 50 million VND to raise meat frogs. This loan applies an interest rate of 6.24%/year (equal to the loan interest rate for poor households).
Happy to receive the money, Mr. L shared: "When the Police and functional agencies introduced the credit program for post-detoxification people, I was very happy. I discussed with my family and decided to ask my father to represent me to borrow capital to invest in raising meat frogs, with a loan of 50 million VND. This is a source of capital to help me have a stable job, creating motivation to have faith to start my life over.
It is known that this is the first case in the province that meets the conditions for borrowing capital when Decision No. 08 takes effect.
Hopefully, from the meaningful capital, it will help Mr. L.V. L have more opportunities to reform, stabilize his life and continue writing his journey to rebuild his life. Thereby, not only contributing to ensuring social security, but also showing the profound humanity in the policies of the Party and the State, when it always opens up opportunities for those who have made mistakes to return, work and live usefully for their families and society.
