On the morning of May 19, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to announce the Minister's decision on promoting Mr. Vu Thanh Tung, Director of Lang Son Provincial Police, from Senior Colonel to Colonel ahead of schedule.
Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and directly presented the decision.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung affirmed that the early promotion shows the recognition and high appreciation of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security for the process of training and striving, as well as the outstanding contributions of Mr. Vu Thanh Tung in ensuring security and order.
Assessing Lang Son as a strategic and key area for national defense, security and foreign affairs, the Deputy Minister requested the Provincial Police to continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, bravery, and discipline; maintain unity in leadership and command.
He requested Colonel Vu Thanh Tung to continue to uphold the responsibility of the head, building a clean and strong Provincial Police collective.
Local police forces need to set an example in learning Ho Chi Minh's ideology and ethics; proactively innovate and apply science and technology to effectively serve socio-economic development.
Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security also wished the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Lang Son province to continue to pay attention, coordinate and create conditions for the Provincial Police to excellently complete the task of maintaining political stability and social order and safety in the border area.
Receiving the assignment, new Colonel Vu Thanh Tung expressed his honor and emotion at the trust of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and Lang Son province.
He affirmed that he will continue to be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; constantly cultivate morality, improve political bravery and working capacity.
The Director of Lang Son Police Department committed to working with the collective to innovate leadership work, proactively grasp the situation to advise on effectively handling arising issues. The unit will continue to promote administrative reform and digital transformation.
