On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Hanoi City Police, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility "forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people" in the process of performing the task of preventing and combating crime; at the same time, he presented a Certificate of Merit to Major Nguyen Ngoc Anh for his outstanding achievements in ensuring security and order in Hanoi City.
Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung also expressed his gratitude to the medical team and doctors of Xanh Pon Hospital for their dedicated treatment and health care for Major Nguyen Ngoc Anh.
The Director of Hanoi City Police directed functional units to urgently investigate and strictly handle violators of the law. He also requested policy units to consider resolving the regime, creating all conditions for Major Nguyen Ngoc Anh to feel secure in treatment, recover quickly and return to work soon.
Along with that, Hanoi City Police have advised and proposed that the Hanoi People's Committee allocate the Crime Prevention Fund to promptly provide subsidies to Major Nguyen Ngoc Anh.
On behalf of the family, Major Nguyen Ngoc Anh's mother sent her sincere thanks to the Board of Directors of Hanoi City Police and the commanders of the functional departments for their attention and encouragement. The family pledged to accompany the medical team in taking care of Major Anh to recover quickly and return to work soon.
Previously, at around 1:45 a.m. on March 8, 2025, Working Group Y13B-141H carried out a patrol and control mission on Minh Khai Street, Vinh Tuy Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi City according to the plan of Hanoi City Police. During the mission, the Working Group discovered a young man driving a Piaggio Vespa motorbike, license plate: 29G1-906.13, carrying a woman, showing signs of violating the Road Traffic Law by not wearing a helmet. Major Nguyen Ngoc Anh signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection, but the motorbike driver did not comply and even crashed straight into him, causing him to fall seriously and have to be treated at Viet Duc Hospital.
The case has been handed over to Vinh Tuy Ward Police, Hai Ba Trung District for investigation and handling in accordance with the provisions of law.
