Mr. Chang Mi Tua, Quan Ba commune, Tuyen Quang province is currently working as a worker with a stable income of more than 20 million VND/month at a unit of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group in Quang Ninh. A few years ago, Mr. Tua did not think he would have a life like today.
Before 2024, my family was very poor, only relying on corn plants and cows, and was affected by weather and epidemics. Since the State supported me to go vocational training and then introduce me to a job, I have a stable income, have money to build a new house, and escape poverty," Mr. Tua confided.
In Quan Ba commune, every year, hundreds of workers from poor, near-poor households, and newly escaped poverty are supported with career development, vocational training, and job introduction to units inside and outside the province. Thanks to that, people have stable jobs and incomes, reducing the poverty rate.
In addition, the area of Quan Ba district (old) has opened 33 vocational training classes with 1,150 participants, focusing on occupations suitable for local needs such as raising and supplying products from buffaloes, cows, horses, cooking occupations, eco-tourism and community tourism, and repairing agricultural machinery.
Mr. Do Quang Dung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quan Ba commune - said that vocational training and job creation have made an important contribution to poverty reduction and improving the socio-economic life of people, especially ethnic minorities in the area.
"In the coming time, we will continue to focus on vocational training for rural workers, equipping them with knowledge and vocational skills. Especially joint ventures and associations with units and employers so that after vocational training, workers have the opportunity to find suitable jobs" - Mr. Dung said.
Not only vocational training, job fairs organized in remote communes have helped workers from poor and near-poor households have the opportunity to access businesses and organize vocational training, thereby having jobs and stable income.

According to statistics from the Tuyen Quang Provincial Employment Service Center, each local job fair attracts an average of 1,000 to 2,000 participants. Through the organized job fairs at the grassroots level, many businesses and vocational training institutions have recruited and trained workers, connecting jobs for thousands of rural workers.
In 2024 alone, the whole province of Tuyen Quang has created new jobs for over 56,000 workers. Of which, vocational training is recruited for more than 23,000 people who are workers in disadvantaged areas, poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty.
Implementing the Sub-project on Developing Vocational Education in Poor and Difficult Areas under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, Tuyen Quang province aims to develop vocational education in terms of both scale and quality of training, supporting vocational training for the poor.
At the same time, vocational education is closely linked with job creation, sustainable livelihoods, increased income and improved the quality of dog life for poor households, poor households, newly escaped poverty households, and low-income workers.
In the period of 20252030, Tuyen Quang province sets a target of reducing the poverty rate by 34% per year. In which, career development and sustainable income creation are identified as the core in poverty reduction.
