After 5 years of implementing 3 national target programs for the period 2021-2025, Tuyen Quang province has mobilized a total of more than 64,000 billion VND. Of which, the state budget accounts for about 11.5%, the remaining 88.5% is mobilized from other resources.
The National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Tuyen Quang province alone has mobilized more than VND1,100 billion to support livelihoods and social security. Thanks to that, tens of thousands of poor households have escaped poverty and have a stable life.
To achieve that result, Tuyen Quang province has taken drastic measures to implement programs and projects right from the first days of implementation. In addition, mobilize the synchronous participation of socio-political organizations and unions to join hands to do a good job of poverty reduction in each locality and facility.
In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province and organizations promote their core role in mobilizing resources for the poor. From 2021 to now, the whole province has renovated and repaired more than 7,000 houses with a total cost of over 911 billion VND.
Participating in mobilizing the "For the Poor" Fund with more than 25 billion VND, giving thousands of gifts, scholarships, health insurance cards, organizing humanitarian medical examinations and treatments... That timely support has helped many poor households overcome difficulties, have the conditions to stabilize their lives, and gradually escape poverty.
This year, Ms. Giang Thi Nai's family in Hong Thai commune, Tuyen Quang province welcomed the Lunar New Year in a solid house that has been the family's dream for many years. This is also one of 81 temporary and dilapidated houses that are eligible for support to be rebuilt in the area.
Ms. Nai said that her family is a poor household, does not work enough to eat, and poverty continues to haunt her. The couple's previous house was dilapidated, paved with bamboo and earthen walls, and leaking in the rain and wind, but the dream of building a new house for Ms. Nai's family was very distant because of poverty.
"Thanks to the support of the State, mass organizations and people in the village to join hands and help, my wife and I have a very beautiful house. I don't know what else to say, thank you so much to the State and the government", Ms. Nai was moved.

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tuyen Quang province, sustainable poverty reduction in the area has achieved many positive results in recent times. In particular, in the old Tuyen Quang province, the period 2021 - 2024 is calculated according to the poverty standard, the poverty rate decreased from 23.45% to 10.19%, down 13.26% compared to the beginning of the period, an average decrease of 4.42%/year, exceeding the set plan.
In the old Ha Giang province, the number of multidimensional poor households at the end of 2024 was 69,740 households (36.35%), down 11,711 households, equivalent to a decrease of 6.26% compared to the previous year, also exceeding the set target. The result is a combination of infrastructure investment, housing support, social policies and sustainable livelihood programs for the poor to strive to escape poverty.
Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha - Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee said that with the support of the state, mobilizing social resources for sustainable poverty reduction is identified by the province as an important task and has actually brought positive results.
"In the context of many difficulties in State resources, the joint efforts of the whole society, with the core being socio-political organizations and unions at all levels, have helped to mobilize maximum social resources for poverty reduction.
In the coming time, the locality will continue to determine that this work needs to be done better and more effectively. At the same time, strengthen propaganda and mobilization so that people can strive to rise up, not rely on support, only then can poverty reduction be truly sustainable", Ms. Ha informed.
