Helping a person who fell, a woman in Binh Dinh was hit and killed by a car

    Binh Dinh - Stopping a vehicle to help a person fall on the road, the woman and the victim were both hit and killed by a motorbike driven by a drunken young man.

    On the evening of February 23, the leader of the People's Committee of Nhon Hai island commune (Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh) said that two local people had just died in a serious traffic accident.

    According to initial information, at around 2:55 a.m. the same day, Mr. Tran Anh Bay (born in 2000, residing in Nhon Hai commune) was driving a motorbike with license plate 77L1-640.63 on Nhon Hoi bridge (in Nhon Binh ward, Quy Nhon city) when he fell onto the road and was injured.

    Seeing Mr. Bay signale for help, Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen Linh (born in 1976, residing in Nhon Hai commune) was driving a motorbike with license plate 77AA-135.46, carrying her biological sister, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (born in 1970, residing in the same locality), stopped the motorbike and drove Mr. Bay to the side of the road to wait for an ambulance.

    However, at this time, Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Huy (born in 2003, residing in Cat Hung commune, Phu Cat district) was driving a motorbike with license plate 77E1-402.80 at high speed, hitting Mr. Bay and Ms. Hien.

    The strong collision caused Mr. Bay to die on the spot. Ms. Hien was seriously injured and taken to the emergency room but did not survive.

    Through inspection, the authorities determined that Nguyen Nguyen Huy had alcohol concentration in his blood but was negative for drugs.

    Currently, the authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident.
