The road project connecting National Highway 32 with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway (IC14) is one of the key traffic projects of Lao Cai province, playing a connecting role in the western area with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway.
According to the reporter's investigation, the entire project has 478 organizations, households and individuals subject to land acquisition, including 474 households and 4 organizations.
In Trung Tam ward alone, 408 households are affected, 87 households have to move houses, of which 69 households are in the ward.

Identifying site clearance as a decisive step in project progress, Trung Tam ward has mobilized the entire political system to participate in propaganda and mobilize people to agree to implement the land acquisition policy.
Up to now, 69/69 households in Phu Ninh residential group have agreed to hand over land, reaching a rate of 100%.
Not only in Trung Tam ward, compensation, support and site clearance work on the entire route are also being focused on by localities.
Specialized units continue to review land records, count assets on land, and resolve outstanding cases to ensure the rights of people and meet project progress requirements.

Leaders of the People's Committee of Trung Tam ward said that the locality is closely coordinating with specialized agencies to focus on removing difficulties arising in compensation, support and site clearance work.
The Compensation Council requests departments to accelerate the review of dossiers, promptly handle people's petitions, ensure publicity, transparency and compliance with the law, and strive to hand over the site for construction according to the plan.
In parallel with site clearance, contractors are also focusing manpower and machinery on construction throughout the route.
The project has a total investment of nearly 1,300 billion VND, including an upgraded and renovated section 46.8km long and a new construction section 4.6km long. The starting point connects to the IC14 intersection on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, and the ending point intersects with National Highway 32.

To date, package XL-09 has been completed and put into use. Package XL-10 is basically completed. Meanwhile, package XL-11 - the item with the most difficult construction conditions on the entire route - has reached over 84% of the contract value.
According to a representative of the construction unit, dozens of locomotives, equipment and many construction teams are being mobilized continuously at the construction site.
Despite facing many difficulties due to hilly terrain, large volume of excavation and embankment, and many locations having to handle weak soil foundations, the units are still focusing their efforts on completing the remaining items.
Mr. Tran Nhat Phong, Deputy Project Director of Project Management Board 2 (Ministry of Construction) said that contractors are focusing on constructing gravel, asphalt concrete, and traffic safety systems to put the project into use.
The project to connect National Highway 32 with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway is expected to contribute to completing the transportation network, strengthening regional linkages and creating motivation for socio-economic development for Lao Cai province in the new phase.
