On December 22, a leader of the People's Committee of Ky Anh town said that currently, the procedure for converting natural forests related to the construction package of Deo But tunnel under the North-South expressway project through Ky Hoa commune (Ky Anh town) and Ky Lac commune (Ky Anh district) has been resolved.
“Last week, the investor coordinated with the project contractor to transfer more than 1 billion VND to replace the replacement forest planting, so the forest conversion procedure is considered completed. Now the contractor can focus on the construction and completion of the Deo But tunnel project,” said the leader of the Ky Anh town People's Committee.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, Deo But tunnel - part of the North - South expressway component project, section Vung Ang (Ha Tinh) - Bung (Quang Binh) is being focused on by Son Hai Group to construct the tunnel shell to strive for completion in December, moving towards constructing tunnel finishing items such as: fire box, pedestrian railing, technical box, lighting, ventilation system.
Currently, the technical niches on the side of the tunnel have been formed, reinforced with shotcrete and a rock anchor system. This item is used to arrange electromechanical and fire protection equipment, about every 40 meters there will be a niche.
Deo But Tunnel is the most important project on the Vung Ang - Bung expressway section passing through Ky Lac commune (Ky Anh district) and Ky Hoa commune (Ky Anh town, Ha Tinh province) with an investment capital of more than 1,000 billion VND.
Deo But tunnel is designed with two tunnels. The left tunnel is 716 m long, the right tunnel is 840 m long, each tunnel is 15 m wide and 8 m high.
The leader of Project Management Board 6, Ministry of Transport (MOT) - the project investor - said that the right tunnel was dug through on May 19.
Recently, the tunnel on the left has been blocked by an area of unconverted natural forest, so the contractor has not been able to clear the slope and reinforce the tunnel door for construction, so up to now, there are still 25 meters left to clear this tunnel.
The work of completing procedures for converting forest land has been focused on by the investor, contractor in coordination with the functional agencies of Ha Tinh province.
The Vung Ang - Bung expressway component project has a length of 55.34 km, passing through two provinces of Ha Tinh (12.9 km) and Quang Binh (42.44 km), with a total investment of VND 12,548 billion.
This component project is constructed by a consortium of contractors including Son Hai Group Co., Ltd. - Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation - Company 484 - Construction and Installation Company 368 - Company 479 Hoa Binh; Phuong Thanh Transport Investment and Construction Company - Lizen Company.
In particular, the Deo But tunnel project is being constructed by Son Hai Group with a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND. In July 2023, Son Hai Group started drilling the first hole to construct the Deo But tunnel.
