Dak Lak voters have just requested the Ministry of Transport to allocate capital to implement the regional connection road project between Dak Lak and Dak Nong.
Propose to consider investing in the construction of the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak) expressway project to meet the needs of economic, cultural and social development.
Responding to this issue, the Ministry of Transport said about the regional traffic connection between Dak Lak and Dak Nong as follows:
According to the approved Central Highlands Regional Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, the traffic route connecting Dak Lak - Dak Nong districts belongs to the network of inter-provincial and inter-regional connecting routes and the Prime Minister assigned localities in the region to coordinate and synchronously implement inter-regional and inter-provincial projects to promote the socio-economic development of the region in the Plan to implement the Central Highlands Regional Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
Therefore, the Ministry of Transport requests the People's Committee of Dak Lak province to coordinate with the People's Committee of Dak Nong province to direct relevant agencies and units to proactively research and arrange capital sources for investment; in case of difficulties in capital sources, send them to the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance for synthesis and reporting to competent authorities for consideration and decision on supporting investment capital sources.
The Ministry of Transport will closely coordinate with localities to resolve issues related to transport in the area.
Regarding investment in the construction of the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak) expressway project, the Ministry of Transport said:
According to the National Master Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, the North-South Expressway in the West, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak) section, will be invested after 2030.
Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW dated October 6, 2022 of the Politburo on socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the Central Highlands region determined: By 2030, research and invest in the Western North-South expressway (Ngoc Hoi - Pleiku, Pleiku - Buon Ma Thuot, Buon Ma Thuot - Gia Nghia).
According to the investment orientation in the Road Network Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050: For investment planning projects after 2030, in case localities have investment needs to serve socio-economic development and mobilize resources, report to the Prime Minister for approval for earlier investment.
Therefore, the Ministry of Transport requested the People's Committee of Dak Lak province to coordinate with the People's Committee of Dak Nong province to direct relevant agencies and units to organize research and clarify the needs and ability to mobilize resources for the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak) expressway project to report to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.
