On December 23, the Hanoi Capital Command held a conference to approve the plan to organize fireworks displays to celebrate the New Year and Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026.
According to the plan, in 2026, Hanoi City plans to organize 38 fireworks displays. On the occasion of New Year's Day, there are a total of 5 locations for fireworks with 6 high-altitude fireworks display locations combining low-altitude and fireworks.
Time: 23:45 to 0:00 on January 1, 2026 (Thursday).
During the Lunar New Year, Binh Ngo has a total of 31 locations for fireworks with 32 locations (including 11 high-altitude fireworks display locations combined with low-altitude fireworks and 21 low-altitude fireworks display locations).
Time: 0:00 on February 17, 2026 (Tuesday, New Year's Eve of Binh Ngo).
At the conference, representatives of the authorities presented in detail the fireworks display plan, including time, location, scale, types of fireworks, implementation budget and measures to ensure security and order. Accordingly, it is expected that the fireworks display locations will be carefully selected, making it convenient for people to monitor but still ensuring a safe distance.
Concluding the conference, Major General Nguyen Dinh Thao, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Hanoi Capital Command, emphasized: Organizing fireworks displays on the occasion of New Year and Lunar New Year aims to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the people, while contributing to promoting the local image and promoting cultural and tourism activities.
To ensure the fireworks display takes place on schedule, bringing the people a pleasant and safe fireworks display, the Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Hanoi Capital Command requested that the authorities put safety, economy, and compliance with legal regulations first, not allowing any errors to occur during the organization.
Relevant agencies urgently complete detailed plans, organize reviews of techniques, human resources and equipment; strengthen inspection and supervision before, during and after fireworks display, ensuring absolute safety for people.
