Hanoi regulates traffic flow, arranges parking lots around Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum during holidays, and prohibits vehicles with more than 16 seats on some routes, ensuring safety and reducing congestion.

On April 25, the Department of Construction issued a notice on traffic organization plans and parking arrangements to serve people and tourists visiting President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum during the holidays.

Accordingly, in order to serve people and international visitors to visit the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh and visit the Ba Dinh historical and cultural relic complex on the occasions of: Hung Kings' Death Anniversary; 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026); 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026) and 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), the Hanoi Department of Construction has proposed specific traffic diversion and organization plans.

To meet parking needs, ensure security and order, traffic safety, and reduce congestion in the area, the Department of Construction guides:

At Hoang Hoa Tham and Ngoc Ha streets: Cars carrying passengers with 16 seats or more (excluding buses, armed forces vehicles) are prohibited from circulating on Hoang Hoa Tham street (section from Mai Xuan Thuong to Ngoc Ha) and Ngoc Ha street (section from Hoang Hoa Tham to Le Hong Phong).

The above vehicles are diverted in the direction: Mai Xuan Thuong - Hoang Hoa Tham - Hung Vuong - Hoang Van Thu - Doc Lap - Chu Van An - Le Hong Phong - Ngoc Ha - Hoang Hoa Tham.

On Le Hong Phong street, cars with more than 16 seats are prohibited from turning around at the Ngoc Ha - Le Hong Phong intersection.

For contract cars with more than 29 seats, it is necessary to contact the Traffic Police Department (Hanoi City Police) for guidance and written approval when operating during peak hours (if any).

Vehicle parking points serving people and tourists include: Ho Chi Minh Museum campus (Ngoc Ha street); Bach Thao Park campus; Ngoc Ha slope area; Thang Long Imperial Citadel campus (Hoang Dieu street); locations on Yen Phu and Nghi Tam streets; Quan Ngua stadium campus (Van Cao street); points on Van Cao street; nursery land at La Pho slope.

The Hanoi Department of Construction requests relevant units to coordinate to ensure traffic order and safety. In which, the Command of the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh presides over providing information about delegations entering to pay respects (number, vehicles, time...) to units to coordinate traffic diversion; and at the same time notify parking locations in advance for registered delegations.

The Traffic Police Department (Hanoi City Police) arranges forces to guide and divert traffic from pick-up and drop-off points to parking spots; strengthen patrols and handle violations of illegal stopping and parking; consider and approve contract vehicles with more than 29 seats operating during peak hours.

The Department of Tourism and the Department of Education and Training are responsible for guiding schools and travel businesses to register for Mausoleum visit schedules; providing information on traffic organization and vehicle parking points.

Relevant units coordinate and provide contact points to ensure traffic regulation and serve the travel needs of people and tourists well.
