At noon on April 27, in the Tac Cau ferry terminal area (Binh An commune, An Giang province), a fire and explosion of a fishing boat occurred while loading and unloading goods. The explosion injured many people, including 1 seriously injured person.
According to initial information, at noon on the 27th, 4 fishing boats of Mr. N.V.L suddenly exploded. The strong explosion caused the boat to catch fire fiercely and then sink, completely damaged.
Not only causing damage to vehicles, the explosion also somewhat affected the surrounding area within a radius of about 150m.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Military Command of Binh An commune mobilized 12 officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene, coordinate with the police force and people to organize rescue, take the victims to the emergency room, and at the same time overcome the consequences and stabilize the situation in the area.
Currently, the cause and damage of the incident are being further investigated and clarified.
