With 100% of delegates in favor at the thematic session (27) of the 16th Hanoi People's Council, term 2021-2026, the City People's Council approved the Proposal to approve the adjustment of the investment policy for the Tran Hung Dao Bridge Construction Investment Project.
According to Resolution No. 10/NQ-HDND dated February 25, 2025 of the Hanoi People's Council, the Tran Hung Dao Bridge Construction Investment Project has a total length of about 5.6km; starting point of Tran Hung Dao - Tran Thanh Tong 5-way intersection (Hoan Kiem district), ending point connecting to Vu Duc Than street (Long Bien district). The project has a total investment of about VND 15,967 billion.
The Hanoi People's Committee proposed to adjust the Tran Hung Dao Bridge Construction Investment Project with a total length of about 4.18km.
The starting point of the route is the Tran Hung Dao - Tran Thanh Tong - Le Thanh Tong intersection (Cua Nam ward, Hai Ba Trung), the end point connects with Nguyen Son street (in Long Bien and Bo De wards). The total preliminary investment is about VND 16,226 billion.
The Hanoi People's Committee also proposed to adjust the plan to divide the project into components. Specifically, the group of site clearance projects includes 3 projects. In which, component projects 1.1 and 1.2 are invested by Hong Ha Ward People's Committee; Component project 1.3 is invested by Long Bien Ward People's Committee.
For the Construction Investment Project group, including Component Project 2.1: Investment in construction and renovation of Co Linh - Hong Tien road at the intersection of Co Linh road with Tran Hung Dao bridge, invested by the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
Investment scope: Renovation of Co Linh - Hong Tien road in the Co Linh intersection with Tran Hung Dao bridge with a length of 694.84m and technical infrastructure system on the route. The length of the Lam Du - Hong Tien connecting branch is about 147.46m. The length of the branch connecting Co Linh - Bat Khoi is about 94.33m.
Investment scale: Co Linh - Hong Tien road within the renovated intersection pushes the airport towards about 9.5m to arrange the branches connecting Tran Hung Dao bridge with Co Linh road.
The cross-section of the road ensures 6 lanes with a median strip of 0.5m; the sidewalks on both sides are 5m. After leaving the intersection, the current road cross-section has a cross-section of B=40m, about 694.84m long.
Component project 2.2: Investing in the construction of Tran Hung Dao bridge, implemented under the public-private partnership (PPP) method, Construction - Transfer (BT) contract paid by land fund.
The approach roads at both ends of the investment bridge with a cross-section scale of B=25.5m - 30m with a total length of about 1.42km.
The main bridge over the Red River is built permanently according to current bridge design standards; the structure of the bridge is in the shape of a steel arch, arched; the length of the main bridge is 870m, the cross-section is about B=43m, ensuring 6 lanes for motor vehicles, 2 lanes for bicycles, 2 lanes for walking.
approach bridge: On the Hoan Kiem district side (now Hoan Kiem, Hong Ha, Hai Ba Trung wards) with a change in cross-section scale of B=26m to 41.5m to ensure 6 lanes for motor vehicles. The total length of the approach bridge is about 1,213m.
Complete investment in construction at 3 intersections including: Different level intersection with Tran Khanh Du - Nguyen Khoi road; intersection with Ta Hong dike road and Co Linh road; intersection with Nguyen Son road.
The preliminary payment method is 4 plots of land with a total area of about 680 hectares.
