Hanoi recovers land to expand National Highway 6

104.8m2 of land of the Hanoi Forest Protection Department was recovered to implement the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section.

Kien Hung Ward People's Committee (Hanoi) has issued a Decision on land recovery from the Hanoi Forest Protection Department to implement component project 1: Compensation, support and resettlement for site clearance in Ha Dong district under the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section in Kien Hung ward.

Accordingly, recovering 104.8m2 of land from the Hanoi Forest Protection Department, belonging to land plot No. 2, map sheet No. 30 according to the extract from cadastral map No. 319578-1 (15) certified by the People's Committee of Kien Hung ward, the measuring unit signed and certified in October 2025; the project investor signed and certified in November 2025, in residential group 7P, Kien Hung ward.

The reason for land recovery is to implement component project 1: Compensation, support and resettlement for site clearance in Ha Dong district under the project to invest in renovating and upgrading National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section (in Kien Hung ward).

The Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (the investor) is responsible for handing over this Decision to the Hanoi Forest Protection Department; posting the Decision at the headquarters of Kien Hung Ward People's Committee and the common living area of the residential group where the land is recovered.

The Ward Culture - Information and Sports Center is responsible for posting the Decision on the electronic information page of Kien Hung ward.

The Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is responsible for managing the recovered land fund, coordinating with the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of the ward to carry out land procedures according to regulations.

Organizations whose land is recovered are responsible for coordinating with the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Department of Infrastructure and Urban Economy, and the People's Committee of Kien Hung ward to implement the Land Recovery Decision; hand over land to the State for project implementation according to regulations.

National Highway 6 is a vital axis, connecting Hanoi with Hoa Binh (now Phu Tho) and the Northwest provinces. In fact, National Highway 6 passing through Hanoi has deteriorated and been overloaded for many years, frequently causing congestion and traffic accidents.

To solve the above situation, at the end of 2022, the Hanoi People's Committee started the project to expand National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section with a length of about 21.7 km.

The starting point of the project is at km14 in Ba La district, Ha Dong district (now Yen Nghia ward); the ending point is km38, Xuan Mai town, Chuong My district (now Xuan Mai commune).

The project has 5 construction packages, including items: Synchronous construction of road surface foundation, water supply and drainage, technical cable trenches, lighting, green trees, 8 road bridges, 1 newly built box culvert.

The project has a total investment of over 9,590 billion VND, implemented in the period 2022-2027.
