The Hanoi Department of Construction said that from April 26 to April 28, a general cleaning and renovation of the urban technical infrastructure system in the area will be carried out, serving events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
Accordingly, the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board directed management and maintenance units of the road system to launch a simultaneous campaign, focusing on cleaning the system of signs, traffic lights, median strip fences, traffic islands, sidewalks, pedestrian tunnels, pedestrian bridges, etc.
In addition, the units will patch potholes on the road surface, cut grass, tarpaulins, clean roads and bridgeheads; remove banners, billboards, and obstacles that affect the visibility of the road signaling system and affect the traffic infrastructure.
The Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board also coordinated with the City's Center for Infrastructure Management to locate and handle trees and branches that obscured the traffic light system.
The City's Center for Technical Infrastructure Management directs infrastructure management and maintenance units to launch a synchronous campaign, pruning and renovation of the system of trees, grass, mangrove trees, and bushes; cleaning of lamp posts and light bulbs to ensure the lighting system operates stably and safely.
In addition, the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center requires public passenger transport service providers to improve service quality; organize a clean campaign for stations, transit points, waiting rooms, bus stops, especially in inner-city districts and large event locations.
The Traffic Infrastructure Management Department also coordinated with the Maintenance Board and the Public Transport Management Center to synchronously renovate the road traffic infrastructure system and public transport infrastructure, ensuring safety and smoothness for people during the important holidays.
