In mid-June, the construction atmosphere at key traffic projects in Lao Cai province took place urgently.
On many construction sites, machinery is operating continuously, workers are taking advantage of favorable weather to speed up the progress of items.
Reporters' records on Provincial Road 156 show that many items belonging to the Border Bridge Project across the Red River and connecting infrastructure are gradually taking shape.

This is one of the key projects of the province with a total investment of 1,490 billion VND, expected to create motivation for border gate economic development and strengthen border trade connectivity.
According to the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, Provincial Road 156, 3.2km long, and BV21, 250m long, have basically completed about 96% of the construction volume and are completing acceptance procedures to put into use.
Meanwhile, the BV20 route, 3.6km long, connecting the Ban Vuoc Border Gate area, has been handed over more than 2km of site. Many roadbed, foundation and asphalt concrete paving items have been completed, reaching about 81% of the construction value.
Not only the border gate area, many other transport projects are also being accelerated.
At the Tran Hung Dao extended Avenue construction site, many construction fronts are being deployed simultaneously.
Along the route from the end point of the existing Tran Hung Dao street to the Ngoi Bo stream area, Gia Phu commune, vehicles transporting materials are operating continuously. Roadbed items, drainage systems and technical structures are being completed every day.

Mr. Le Thai Toan - Head of ODA Project Management Department, Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that the investor regularly inspects the site, closely coordinates with relevant units to remove difficulties and ensure the set progress.
According to Mr. Toan, the roadbed and drainage system construction package has been completed about 70% of the volume, and is expected to be completed earlier than the contract term.
The extended Tran Hung Dao Avenue project has a total investment of more than 170 billion VND, with a length of about 2.5km.

When put into operation, the road will contribute to completing urban infrastructure, expanding development space towards Gia Phu commune and increasing connectivity with the main traffic axes of the old Lao Cai city.
Along with that, the road connecting Lao Cai - Lai Chau on National Highway 279, the section passing through the old Van Ban district, is also gradually being completed. The road is expected to help shorten travel time, creating favorable conditions for transportation and trade between localities.
Another project that is being focused on speeding up progress is the road connecting National Highway 32 with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway (IC14). After a period of difficulties in site clearance, most of the area has been handed over to the construction unit.
Mr. Nguyen The Nghia - Vice Chairman of Trung Tam Ward People's Committee - said that the locality is focusing on handling the remaining cases to ensure a clean site for the project.

According to the leader of the Construction Investment Management Board No. 1 of Lao Cai province, contractors are being required to increase manpower, machinery, and take advantage of favorable weather to accelerate construction progress, striving to complete the entire project in 2026.
When new roads are put into operation, not only will geographical distances be shortened, but investment attraction opportunities, industrial development, services and border gate economy will also be expanded, creating more growth momentum for the locality.
