The end of the spill will be based on weather conditions and lake water levels.
Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation One Member Co., Ltd. has also requested the People's Committees of localities affected by the spillway system to urgently notify, urge and guide people to implement measures to ensure safety for people and property in downstream areas, and be ready to respond to possible incidents.
According to Mr. Tran Duc Ba - Director of the Ha Tinh Province Hydrometeorological Station, from November 4 to the morning of November 6, Ha Tinh area will have rain, some places will have moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms; especially the southern coastal plain will have heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain with common rainfall of 120 - 250mm, some places will have rainfall over 350mm. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in districts such as Ky Anh, Ky Anh town, Cam Xuyen, Ha Tinh city, Thach Ha.
Warning of the risk of floods, flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas, inundation in low-lying areas; heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Ha Tinh province has issued a telegram on proactively responding to heavy rains. Localities and units are requested to review and proactively evacuate people in areas at high risk of deep flooding, flash floods, and landslides to safe places.
