In 2025, Hanoi started construction of 7 bridges across the Red River, including: Tu Lien, Van Phuc, Tran Hung Dao, Thuong Cat, Ngoc Hoi bridges and 2 bridges belonging to Ring Road 4 project, Hong Ha and Me So.
Hanoi People's Committee said that to date, the city has completed site clearance of 2/7 bridges (Hong Ha bridge, Me So bridge).
Hong Ha bridge is about 4.377km long, crossing Ta Hong and Huu Hong dikes, with the starting point in Me Linh commune and the ending point in O Dien commune.
Prestressed reinforced concrete bridge, including spans for casting spans (main span 135m), Super T access spans, 18 spans for casting spans crossing rivers (main span 90m), 3 spans for casting spans crossing Huu Hong dike (main span 90m).
Construction cost is about 3,700 billion VND.
According to records in the first days of 2026, the entire Hong Ha bridge construction site is organizing the construction of foundations and drilled piles of the pier structure.

For Me So bridge, the project is about 2,024km long, crossing Huu Hong and Ta Hong dikes, starting point in Hong Van commune (Hanoi); ending point in Me So commune (Hung Yen).
Prestressed reinforced concrete bridge, including 5 spans casting spans over the Huu Hong and Red River dikes (main span 155m), Super T access spans, spans casting spans over the dike (main span 90m).
The construction cost of Me So bridge is about 1,800 billion VND.
Both bridges across the Red River belonging to Ring Road 4 project have a cross-section of 24.5m wide, designed with 4 lanes for motorized vehicles and arranged with one lane for motorbikes and rudimentary vehicles on each side.
For the remaining 5 bridges, site clearance (GPMB) is being implemented synchronously in many wards and communes with a large volume, related to residential land, agricultural land, public land, land related to religious organizations and national defense land.
Localities have developed specific plans and roadmaps, committing to the progress of site clearance completion according to each time milestone, basically ensuring the general requirements of the city.

Regarding the Tran Hung Dao bridge project, Chairman of Hong Ha Ward People's Committee Le Hong Thang said that the project is being implemented in the period from 2025 - 2027.
Based on that milestone, the Ward People's Committee has planned to implement land acquisition and site clearance, expected to be implemented in a period of 6 - 9 months.
According to the plan, before February 15, 2026, the ward will complete the investigation, confirm the origin of land, population, household registration and publicize the resettlement plan, the public time is 10 days. After this time, the Ward People's Committee will continue to organize dialogue with the people to further resolve difficulties.
Regarding resettlement, leaders of Hong Ha Ward People's Committee said that the city has allocated more than 200 hectares of land in Thu Lam commune for people affected by the construction of Tu Lien bridge, Ngoc Hoi bridge and Tran Hung Dao bridge.
Currently, 7 land plots have basically completed site clearance, some locations have completed infrastructure, ready to be handed over to projects.
The ward has also informed people about technical infrastructure conditions, transportation, utilities... in these resettlement areas.
