On May 27, leaders of Gia Phu commune, Son La province visited and encouraged Mr. Hoang Van Quyet (born 1979) and Mr. Ha Van Dong (born 2009), both residing in Nhot 1 village, after both were found safe and taken to the emergency room after many days of being trapped in the forest.
Previously, while catching frogs in the Suoi Ngang village area, Suoi To commune, two people unfortunately encountered an accident while moving through a stream and deep waterfall area. Both fell into the waterfall and went missing in the forest for 5 days and 4 nights.

Despite having broken arms and legs, physical exhaustion due to lack of food and water, and having to cope with harsh weather conditions, the two victims still tried to hold on to find a way to the area with passersby.
Mr. Song A Ho - Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of Suoi Ngang village, Suoi To commune said that while working in the fields near the stream area, people discovered two victims in a state of exhaustion, with many injuries, so they quickly called more people to help take them to the emergency room.
According to local authorities, this is a story of survival full of willpower, but at the same time it is also a warning about the danger of unsafety when going to the forest, catching frogs or fishing at night in dangerous hilly and stream areas.
The Gia Phu commune government also sent thanks to the people of Suoi Ngang village for promptly rescuing the victims in distress.
