Through inspection, functional forces recorded that some pharmaceutical business establishments had not been granted Certificates of eligibility for pharmaceutical business.
Some establishments have hanging signs of pharmacies and pharmacies and have closed, the delegation could not inspect the business operations of these establishments; some others stopped pharmaceutical business operations but still hung signs.
Some establishments only trade in functional foods or do not have pharmaceutical business establishments at addresses reported by Commune, Ward, and Special Zone People's Committees...
To continue to strengthen the effectiveness of state management and definitively handle the situation of unlicensed pharmaceutical business establishments, the Department of Health requests the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones (based on the list of unlicensed pharmaceutical business establishments reported by the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones and which has been reviewed, compared, and excluded by the Department of Health) to continue to review the list of unlicensed pharmaceutical business establishments in the managed area.
In which, pay attention to distinguishing and correctly identifying pharmaceutical business establishments; establishments that only trade in cosmetics, functional foods, medical equipment and other goods that are not drugs; conducting surprise inspections and strictly handling violating establishments according to their authority.
Localities grasp and strictly manage pharmaceutical business activities in the area; resolutely prevent the situation of establishments operating pharmaceutical business without a Certificate of eligibility for pharmaceutical business.
The Department of Health also requested localities to organize training, dissemination, and full dissemination of current legal documents in the pharmaceutical field for officials participating in the management and monitoring of the health sector under the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones; officials and employees of health stations and other medical facilities; pharmacists; pharmaceutical business establishments, functional foods, cosmetics, and medical equipment in the managed area.
At the same time, regularly organize public announcements of the list of unlicensed pharmaceutical business establishments (facility name, facility address...) on local mass media and other forms to warn of risks and propagate to people to recognize, not to buy and sell drugs, or use drugs at unlicensed pharmaceutical business establishments.
