The activity is organized by the City Library in coordination with the Veterans Association of the City People's Committee, the Youth Union of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).
At the program, delegates listened to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hoa - Propaganda and Training Department, Political Department of Military Region 3, propagating about "Operation 500 days and nights to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains"; watched documentary film "Landmark in the middle of the ocean" and visited and displayed books and newspapers.
Implementing the Party and State's policy and the direction of the National Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains, levels, sectors, localities, and units across the country are actively responding to the peak emulation period "Operation 500 days and nights to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains", towards the 80th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day 27. 7. This is not only an emulation movement but also an order from the heart, expressing the responsibility, morality and deep gratitude of the Party, State and people towards those who have contributed and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Each martyr's remains found, each identity identified and each grave returned to their homeland and family is an additional comfort for the relatives of martyrs, and at the same time contributes to alleviating the pain still lingering after the war.
Not only expressing gratitude to wounded soldiers and policy families, the thematic talk program also contributes to educating patriotism, national pride, fostering revolutionary ideals and arousing the responsibility of each cadre and member in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented gifts to 18 comrades who are wounded soldiers, children of martyrs, and children of wounded soldiers working at grassroots Veterans Associations directly under the City People's Committee's Veterans Association.
