According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper on May 31 and June 1, Hanoi Railway Company Limited (Hanoi Metro) is replacing the roofs of Yen Nghia Station (Ha Dong District).
Previously, at around 10:00 a.m. on May 23, Hanoi experienced heavy rain with strong winds. The second floor of Yen Nghia station was flooded with rainwater from the roof, washing away the floor. The management department must send staff to be on duty to clean continuously.

According to the Hanoi Department of Construction, inspection showed that the roof of Yen Nghia station was damaged and the roof was blown off by storm Yagi in September 2024.
However, Hanoi Metro is slow and has not actively coordinated with relevant units to report to competent authorities to take remedial measures, affecting passengers and train operations.
At the time the Department of Construction inspected on May 26, at some stations such as Yen Nghia and Van Quan, the roofs of the outdoor sleepers and the walkways made of sky-green plastic panels were peeling and damaged.
From the inspection results, the Department of Construction proposed the city to approve the policy to allow Hanoi Metro to repair emergency roofs on the roof of Yen Nghia station, the escalator and broken glass roofs and broken glass at some stations on the Cat Linh - Ha Dong route as prescribed, completed before June 6.

For less than 2 weeks, the Cat Linh - Ha Dong train continuously encountered problems.
Most recently, on the afternoon of May 30, the operating unit had to cut off the power and stop running trains from Cat Linh station to Lang station due to a warning of a recording error at Cat Linh station. The incident occurred at 5:36 p.m., and was fixed after 25 minutes.
Previously, on the afternoon of May 19, the HN001 train - carriage No. 2 had a phenomenon of water flowing in the train carriage. Some people had to use umbrellas, others moved to other locations.
Hanoi Metro later issued a statement saying that the cause of the incident was an unstable drainage of air conditioners, leading to water flowing into a passenger car.
Hanoi Metro has invited experts to check, find out the cause and have a solution, while maintaining the train's complete condition.

The Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway line was put into commercial operation in November 2021. The route is 13 km long, traveling elevated through 12 stations. Each train has 4 cars, carrying 960 people, a maximum speed of 80 km/h, and an exploitation speed of 35 km/h.
