On May 23, Hanoi Metro informed about the power incident that led to the train stopping on the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station train line in the afternoon of the same day.
Accordingly, at around 2:30 p.m., on the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station train line, there was an electrical problem that led to a power outage from Le Duc Tho Station, National University, Chua Ha, Cau Giay for handling.
The Urban Railway Operation Enterprise Branch No. 3 has activated the operation and operation plan, notifying the ALSTOM (CP6) warranty contractor to check and fix it with the factory's technical staff.
At the same time, Urban Railway Operation Enterprise No. 3 (under Hanoi Metro - Hanoi Railway Company Limited) stopped trains at stations, broadcast announcements about incidents, and updated the situation for passengers to feel secure. Passengers who have purchased tickets but do not need to continue will be refunded.
At 3:22 p.m., the power system problem was resolved, Urban Railway Operation Enterprise No. 3 supplied electricity to the area from Le Duc Tho Station to Cau Giay Station. The trains on the route have therefore returned to normal operation.
Hanoi Metro said that the handling process was carried out according to the procedures and was included in 57 incident response scenarios.
"The contractor and the company's technical staff have ensured absolute safety for passengers, forces involved in handling the incident as well as business assets," Hanoi Metro said.
Currently, this enterprise is coordinating with the warranty contractor to assess and verify the cause of the incident to thoroughly fix and prevent the risk of similar incidents.
