On the evening of April 30, thousands of people in Dong Nai city flocked to 13 high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks display locations in Tran Bien ward, Binh Phuoc ward, 10 newly established wards (Long Thanh, Trang Bom, Nhon Trach, Tri An, Dau Giay, Tan Phu, Xuan Loc, Loc Ninh, Tan Khai, Dong Phu) and Dai Phuoc commune, to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026) and to celebrate the establishment of Dong Nai city.
At exactly 9 pm on April 30, fireworks display points simultaneously took place.
Also on the evening of April 30, on the riverside road in Tran Bien ward, the People's Committee of Dong Nai city organized the art program "Dong Nai historical flow - aspirations for the future".
The art program recreated the history of the formation and development of Dong Nai city 328 years ago, from the time of Thuong Suat Nguyen Huu Canh entering the southern capital and building palaces and settlements in Dong Nai land.
Over 328 years, Dong Nai land has developed strongly, becoming the economic - cultural - social center of the region and the whole country.

On April 30, leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai city attended the ceremony to announce the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of 10 new wards including: Long Thanh, Trang Bom, Nhon Trach, Tri An, Dau Giay, Tan Phu, Xuan Loc, Loc Ninh, Tan Khai, Dong Phu.
Also according to the National Assembly's Resolution, the establishment of Dong Nai city takes effect from today (April 30).
