Sir, how will Dong Nai city shape its new development vision to truly be worthy of its new position?

- Regarding development vision, Dong Nai will not only develop as a normal urban administrative unit, but must be positioned as a new growth pole, a strategic connecting center of the Southeast region and the whole country.

In which, the "airport city" model will be an important pillar, creating unique advantages, differentiated advantages and long-term competitive advantages of Dong Nai in regional linkages, national linkages and international integration.

The city's development plan in the coming time will be implemented in the direction of open space, synchronous infrastructure, multi-center development, modern but with identity, rapid growth but must be green and sustainable. We orient the organization of urban space associated with river systems, natural ecosystems, associated with green, smart development, adapting to climate change.

Dong Nai not only needs to develop quickly, but also needs to develop harmoniously, develop in depth and have long-term competitiveness.

Can you share with Lao Dong Newspaper readers the key tasks that Dong Nai will implement immediately after becoming a city to create strong growth momentum from the beginning?

- Overall, Dong Nai will focus on three major task groups including: Upgrading infrastructure, developing modern urban areas and creating new growth momentum.

First of all, regarding urban planning and management. The city will prioritize renovating and embellishing existing urban areas in a more civilized and modern direction, while still preserving the cultural and historical identity and unique values of Dong Nai land.

In parallel, Dong Nai will promote the development of new urban areas, riverside urban areas, modern urban spaces; form a synchronous urban chain in terms of both technical infrastructure and cultural and social infrastructure. In urban development, the city will pay attention to the TOD model, compressed development, mixed development; form dynamic spaces associated with major traffic hubs, stations, and important connecting axes.

For areas with high population density, the city will study the effective exploitation of underground space, improve land use efficiency, and at the same time invest in synchronous transportation, electricity, water, telecommunications, environmental treatment and urban services to meet the requirements of a centrally-run city.

In addition, the city will prioritize attracting and developing high-value-added sectors with large spillover effects such as high technology, supporting industries, logistics, airport services, modern trade, digital economy and innovation.

Synchronous development of social infrastructure for workers

Sir, how will the direction of building Dong Nai into a "Civilized - Modern - Happy" city be concretized?

- Dong Nai is a large industrial area, with a large labor force, and a very large number of workers and migrant workers. Therefore, industrial development must go hand in hand with the synchronous development of social infrastructure for workers. This is not only a requirement for social security, but also a condition for sustainable development.

In the coming time, the city will continue to promote the development of social housing, worker accommodation areas; invest in cultural, medical, educational institutions, kindergartens, community living areas and essential public services in or near industrial parks so that workers have a more stable place to live, better living conditions, and feel secure and attached for a longer time.

Regarding education and training, Dong Nai will continue to improve the quality of comprehensive education, while strongly developing a modern vocational training system associated with the actual needs of the labor market, especially in high-tech industries, logistics, airport services, modern trade and digital economy.

Regarding healthcare, the city will continue to invest in improving the capacity of the healthcare system from grassroots to specialized, increasing people's access to healthcare services, promoting the application of digital technology in medical examination and treatment, health management and disease prevention. The goal is for people to access healthcare services faster, better and fairer.

Another very important content is environmental protection and building a green, safe, and sustainable living environment. Dong Nai will strengthen resource management, control pollution, develop green cities, treat waste effectively, and better adapt to climate change. Because the quality of development is not only in the growth rate, but also in the quality of air, water quality, green space and the safety of the living environment for today's people as well as future generations.

Thank you, sir!
