On January 28, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center just reported on the progress of the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway construction investment project (phase 1) according to the PPP method and proposed assigning the People's Committees of Dau Giay, Binh Loc, Gia Kiem, Xuan Bac, Dinh Quan, Phu Hoa, Tan Phu, Phu Lam communes and wards to urgently coordinate with the Land Fund Development Center of Thong Nhat, Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan branches, Project Management Board of Area 11 to complete the recovery and compensation work in the first quarter of 2026.
To implement the project, Dong Nai province had to recover nearly 312ha of land.
In August 2025, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project was started construction.
The project has a total length of more than 60km, the starting point of the project intersects with National Highway 1 and coincides with the ending point of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway in Dau Giay commune, Dong Nai province; the ending point crosses the intersection with National Highway 20 in Phu Lam commune, Dong Nai province.
The project is the first section of the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway, belonging to the group of key national transport infrastructure projects, invested in PPP (public-private partnership) - BOT contract (build - operate - transfer) method with a total investment of about 8,496 billion VND.
The project is designed according to expressway standards, with a design speed of 100 km/h, scale of 4 lanes.
The expected construction time is 24 months, completed on August 19, 2027.
When put into operation, the expressway will contribute to completing the road and expressway network according to the plan, creating a breakthrough in traffic connection between Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, and the Southeast and Central Highlands provinces.
The project helps shorten transportation time, reduce load on National Highway 20, and at the same time promote the efficiency of expressways, ring roads, ports and railways.
This is also a prerequisite for completing the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway (CT.27), promoting socio-economic development, tourism and ensuring security and defense.
