On April 30, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Phu ward (Dong Nai City) held a ceremony to announce the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of Tan Phu ward.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Hong, Chairman of Tan Phu Ward People's Committee, said that right on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification, it was also the day the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of Tan Phu ward officially took effect.
This is a particularly important historical milestone for officials, party members and people of Tan Phu ward.
Not only is there a change in administrative boundaries, but this is also a milestone in leadership and direction thinking to organize management and administration according to the new local government model" - Mr. Nguyen Nhat Hong emphasized.

Overviewing the socio-economic development situation of the locality in the past time, the Chairman of Tan Phu Ward People's Committee said that from July 1, 2025, Tan Phu will be merged from 5 communes and towns including Tan Phu town, Phu Loc commune, Tra Co commune, Phu Thanh commune and Phu Xuan commune. In which, Tan Phu town area was the economic - administrative center of Tan Phu district in the past.
Currently, the economic development sector of Tan Phu commune has a strong shift according to the structure of trade, services and construction industry. The agriculture - forestry - fishery sector has gradually decreased.
Currently, the proportion of the ward's total structured product value in trade, services and industry accounts for about 75%. The agriculture - forestry - fishery sector currently accounts for about 25%.

According to Mr. Nguyen Nhat Hong, Tan Phu commune, now Tan Phu ward, is one of the industrial centers, attracting a large number of workers, including from neighboring provinces.
The ward has an industrial park with 50ha that has been filled with more than 10,000 workers. There are 4,069 economic establishments, which are agricultural production facilities, handicrafts, production and business... attracting a labor force of about over 21,000 people.
Currently, the proportion of non-agricultural labor accounts for over 72% of the total population in Tan Phu ward. This is a transformation and the value of the two industries of construction and commercial services has grown by 2 digits.
By the end of 2025, the average income per capita in Tan Phu reached 89.5 million VND/person/year, a remarkable growth compared to 2024.
Currently, the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of the province is planning to continue expanding Tan Phu Industrial Park to about 250 hectares. Tan Phu Industrial Park has currently attracted nearly 100% of businesses to come here for production and business.

Mr. Nguyen Nhat Hong emphasized that the establishment of Tan Phu ward opens up many great opportunities, but also poses many challenges. Among them, there are challenges regarding investment resources.
