On the evening of June 30, thousands of Hai Duong people flocked to the city center, especially Bach Dang Park and Xu Dong Cultural Center to watch a special art program to celebrate the historic event - officially operating the two-level government model from July 1.
Along the major streets are brilliant with flags, lights, and cheer banners, creating an unprecedented festive atmosphere. A large number of people brought flags, banners and even chairs to choose a good location to watch the program. Many families take their children early to avoid traffic jams and save memorable moments with their loved ones.
Although the weather was erased and raining in the early evening, the crowd of people still poured into the city center day by day, causing the streets around Bach Dang Park to be almost packed.
The highlight of the festival night is the art program "Rang Dai Phong" - held simultaneously at Hai Phong City Theater Square and Bach Dang Park (Hai Duong City). At the Hai Duong bridge, many famous artists brought special music and dance performances, honoring love for the country, humanity and the desire for development.
Ms. Pham Thi Yen (residing in Tan Binh ward, Hai Duong city) shared: "I have never seen my city as crowded as it is today. People pulled out onto the streets early, everyone was radiant and excited. The music night was very beautiful, and there were also brilliant fireworks displays that made the atmosphere like New Year's Eve".
Mr. Tran Van Duy (26 years old, Tan Truong commune, Cam Giang district) shared: "I took a bus to the city early in the evening, just to watch a music program and fireworks with my own eyes. The bustling atmosphere, everyone was radiant, talking happily even though they didn't know each other. This is the first time I have seen Hai Duong so crowded - like a big festival for the whole people".
Not only an art night, this is also an opportunity for Hai Duong people from newly merged towns and districts to gather, immerse themselves in an atmosphere of solidarity, attachment and confidence in a new journey with many improvements.
