Exactly at 00:00 on New Year's Eve, in the Central Square of the Ly Son Special Zone (Quang Ngai province), thousands of Ly Son people witnessed a unique low-altitude fireworks display, in the joyful and emotional atmosphere of a large number of officers, soldiers and people on the frontline island.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ha, residing in the Ly Son special zone, confided: "After a year of drifting offshore, we only wished to return to Ly Son island for Tet to reunite with our families. On New Year's Eve, watching fireworks explode brightly in the sky, hearing the sound of waves crashing, my heart felt very light. All the hardship seemed to disappear, only the feeling of peace was left because I was at home, having a Tet meal with my wife and children.

In 15 minutes, the night sky on the frontline island of Ly Son is brightly lit by clusters of colorful fireworks.Series of fireworks reach high, blooming in the vast space of the sea and sky, creating a mãn nhãn, sacred moment in the moment of New Year's transition, creating a bustling spring picture in the frontline land of the Fatherland.
Organizing fireworks displays at the frontline island is not only a cultural activity to welcome the new year but also has profound political and spiritual meaning.In the middle of the ocean, the fireworks light asserts the strong vitality of the army and people of Ly Son; expressing the belief, will and aspiration to build an increasingly developed and solid homeland at the forefront of the waves and winds.
Mr. Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of Ly Son Special Economic Zone People's Committee confided that the program contributes to encouraging the spirit of officers and soldiers who are day and night on duty to protect sea and island sovereignty; and at the same time spread the message of the Party and State's concern for the spiritual and cultural life of the people in the sea and island areas.
