On the afternoon of March 24, Khanh Hoa General Hospital organized a seminar to celebrate the 10-year journey of Vietnam Social Work Day, honoring the contributions of social workers in the health sector.
Sharing at the program, Ms. Doan Thi Thuy Loan - Head of the Social Work Department said that since 2013, when she was assigned a new task, she faced a lot of pressure, having to work and learn to gradually implement effectively.

After more than a decade, the Social Work Department has become a bridge between patients, families, medical staff and the community.
The unit not only advises and supports difficult cases but also urgently intervenes for abandoned children, homeless people, women abused, and people with disabilities.

In 10 years, the department has supported and handed over 37 homeless patients and 20 abandoned children.
At the same time, mobilizing resources to help 58,786 turns of patients in difficult circumstances with a total budget of more than 28 billion VND.

At the seminar, the hospital expressed gratitude to philanthropists who accompanied and at the same time presented support of 60 million VND to 90 patients in difficult circumstances being treated.
According to leaders of Khanh Hoa Department of Health, the efforts of the social work team have contributed to improving the quality of comprehensive care and spreading the spirit of compassion in the community.
