Firstly, it can be seen that the work of caring for union members and workers of the Vietnam Trade Union in recent times has achieved comprehensive, practical and in-depth achievements.
This is not only reflected in the figures on money spent by resources, but also in the approach. That is the care associated with real life, with the most basic needs of workers.
Trade unions at all levels not only take care of immediate needs such as shift meals, reunion meals, and gifts of a "rescue" nature when union members and workers are in difficulty or have problems. More importantly, the Trade Union organization also creates and contributes to bringing its union members and workers true homes and shelters so that they can wholeheartedly "work" after having resolved their settlement issues.
Furthermore, the Trade Union organization also supports its union members and workers with huge loans to solve sustainable livelihoods. Typically, the Da Nang Trade Union, in the last term alone, the Fund for Supporting Poor Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers of the City Labor Federation has raised more than 64 billion VND to resolve loans for 2,195 union members.
It can be said that the continuous presence of the Trade Union alongside its members and workers as an institution of social security with practical care during difficult times, from epidemics and natural disasters to the most difficult times in workers' lives, from immediate events to long-term, sustainable livelihoods has contributed greatly to fostering social trust.
When union members and workers always look forward to the Trade Union, considering the Trade Union a place they can rely on in difficult times, that is the most realistic measure of the effectiveness of the representative organization's operations.
Of course, the care policies of trade union organizations at all levels cannot replace the policies of the State. However, with flexibility, closeness to the grassroots and the ability to mobilize social resources, the Trade Union organization has been contributing to sharing the burden and stabilizing the lives of workers. This is a very important and key factor to stabilize production and develop the economy of each locality.
Finally, the results of caring for union members and workers in recent times show a very correct direction of the Trade Union organization when taking workers as the center, taking practical needs as the starting point.
When the Union truly becomes a pillar of social security, there is no need for any more calling, workers will immediately come to the Union and the pride and attachment of union members to the organization will certainly be increasingly deeply, quickly and sustainably attached.
